About Azad Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission
Azad Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (AJKPSC) is an agency of the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir that is responsible for recruiting civil servants and Bureaucrats in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The AJKPSC is founded in 1950 and its jurisdiction is the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. After the establishment of the Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir on December 28, 1950, the first rules of business have been implemented. AJKPSC was launched according to these rules. The commission consists of a chairman and the members. The chairman is appointed by the President of Azad Kashmir, at his discretion. The members are appointed by the president on the advice of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir. The commission is assisted by the secretary, who provides a link between the commission, its secretariat, and the government agencies. The headquarters of AJKPSC is located in Muzaffarabad and Air Marshal (Retd) Masood Akhtar is the current chairman of AJKPSC.
