About the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan
The Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP), Pakistan’s first securities market institute, was founded as a permanent platform for developing quality human capital capable of meeting the emerging professional knowledge needs of financial markets and creating standards among market professionals. The Institute’s mission is to conduct various licensing examinations that lead to certifications for various segments of the financial markets. Furthermore, the IFMP provides a platform for research and development, idea exchange, and consulting services on Financial Markets issues. Pakistan’s markets are currently facing capacity constraints, with standards of know-how and a lack of quality human financial resources being major impediments to building investor confidence. Under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984, the Institute was registered as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee with financial shares.
