About Wah Medical College
The Wah Medical College (WMC) is a medical school in Wah Cantonment, Punjab, Pakistan. The college is located on Jinnah Avenue, in the heart of Wah Cantonment’s educational zone. POF Hospital serves as a teaching hospital for the college. It is a component of the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Welfare Trust (POFWT) and Pakistan Ordnance Factories Board Wah Cantonment’s composite medical education program (POFBWC). Affiliation and recognition of Wah Medical College are with The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council approved this college (PMDC). Wah Medical College is associated with the Lahore University of Health Sciences. The college campus encompasses nearly 200 Kanals of land and is located adjacent to its teaching hospital, POF Hospital.
There are many Departments of Wah Medical College including Medical Training, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology a branch of biochemistry, Pharmacology, General Surgery, ENT, Radiotherapy, Urology, and Orthopedics. Lt. Gen Ali Aamir Awan is the Chairman of the POFs Board, Maj Gen (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Naveed is the principal of WMC and Prof. Dr. Musarat Ramzan is the Dean of Wah Medical College.
